design work (not custom designs, such as what Mr. Dempsey does), “Save-as” and tweaking is typical practice. Using established designs saves a lot of engineering and testing (project cost). Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see a true clean sheet design more than anything, but you’d be looking at a $80k+ new Z instead of something we hope isn’t too far off of the leaked $35k base. Either way, I’m hoping I get to see one at our local dealer when they roll out. I may even half-joke about trading in my ‘91.
